Microessays

In the realm of literature, the miniature essay possesses a unique power to encapsulate profound ideas and emotions in a concise and engaging narrative. Though often no more than a few hundred words, these bite-sized literary gems can effortlessly reveal our exciting lives. In this collection of miniature essays, I showcase two different but very interesting themes: Snow and The Worst Thing I Love.

Snow

At the beginning of the week, Flagstaff received a heavy snowfall. I strolled around the NAU campus on a snowy day, with snowflakes falling, buildings looming in the distance, and almost no pedestrians on the side of the road, except for a few cars driving by on the street, leaving traces. The snow seemed to fall a bit sharply, falling fine and dense from the sky. The white snowflakes were silent and cold, just like my mood at that time, not too much joy or depression, just focused on the life of the moment. To me, walking in the snow is an enjoyable thing. Walking on the snow road around no one, it seems that the boundary between heaven and earth is only my own.

In this world of life, no matter how much you remember, you always have to treasure something, both sweet love, beautiful past, the magnificent mountains and rivers, the glory of success, but also treasure the bitter love, bad past, desolate The cold hills and streams, but also the failure and frustration like snow and ice. The road of life is not only a rainbow of glory, flowers, and applause, but also the only way to welcome the plum blossom is to stand up to the wind and snow like a plum blossom.

The world of snow is single and noble. Color in this world there are many, and called noble perhaps only snow, snow is dignified, its dignity is not to be defiled; the snow world is fragile, but also perfect, who knows that the snow will melt when it meets the sun, its life is long, short, however, the snow brings people white and pure landscape is perfect. Because of this, the snow scene is more worthy of appreciation and treasure: the world of snow is cold and ruthless, but also full of expectations, when the snowflakes fly, the cold air, the snow covers something, but also nurtures something.

The Worst Thing I Love

In all honesty, I'm a bit of an OCD person, which makes me always remember the not-so-good memories, especially the awful, embarrassing moments.

During my high school years in China, my classroom teacher was a very sarcastic person. In her eyes, we, as high school students, had to take all the time we could to study, even during recess, in order to improve our grades order to get into college. When she saw us chatting and joking in between classes, she would always get angry like a lion and urge us to study. We were always dissatisfied with her because of her overly strict discipline.

Once during recess, just as my tablemate and I were discussing the exciting news we saw last night, his face suddenly changed, and he lowered his voice and said to me, "Well, stop talking; it's time to do your homework." As I was talking in the heat of the moment, I felt confused and dissatisfied with this sudden interruption, so I thundered at the top of my voice: "What's wrong, dude? What are you afraid of? Is it that the warden lady is coming to inspect?" Hearing my words, his face worsened, and I felt even more amused watching his nervous look. Since my back was to the door of the classroom, I turned around and said to him, "Save it; if she comes, then I would rather-"

Before all the words were out of my mouth, my face also froze. I saw my classroom teacher standing in the doorway, glaring at me angrily.

    "Rather what?" She roared.

    I frowned nervously and embarrassingly.

    What bad luck.
