After entering Suzhou City University, I still did not give up this sport I love. I founded the Wanggu Kendo Club with a few other students on campus who were very passionate about kendo.

Although we are a newly formed team, we are strict with ourselves for training and external communication. Initially, our club consisted of less than ten people and lacked training equipment due to lack of funds. In order to improve the situation, I contributed my own bamboo sword and lent it to the club members for free. At the same time, we managed to attract more like-minded people to join us by promoting the benefits of kendo practice, and got a special practice room from the school. I have to admit that everything was difficult at the beginning. In the first few weeks of rigorous practice, there were always people who wanted to give up because they couldn't take the pain, and I would always persuade them to stick with it, telling them that if we stick with something, we can eventually make good progress and achieve good results.

We trained at the best kendo dojo in Suzhou, the Yangpai Martial Arts Center. At the same time, we have established a deep friendship with the highly influential and strong kendo team of Soochow University in the eastern region of China.

We train together and grow together; we try to help newcomers master Kendo while humbly asking for advice from seniors; our Kendo club has just been established, but we have the confidence to make it bigger and better!
